Volunteer Program

High School Student Volunteers

  • Build your marketing and design skills. We are seeking social media volunteers to help us grow our Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter following. Help us get our events and services out to the public!

  • Help us serve the community. We could use setup, registration desk, and cleanup help for events throughout the local community, such as presentations, health fairs, and blood drives.

  • Learn by teaching. Tutor a younger high school student weekly. Help someone who's falling behind in school catch up. Change their life while improving your own academic skills. Teaching is one of the best ways to learn a subject in greater depth.

College Student Volunteers

  • Practice your mentorship or teaching skills. Mentor or tutor a fellow student in the Antelope Valley Union High School District (AVUHSD) through weekly sessions in our Mentorship/Tutoring Room or at locations provided by our community partners.

  • Learn leadership skills under our staff and fellows. We can teach you how to represent our organization as a office volunteer. (20-40 hours/week required)

  • Develop your software/tech skills. Help us with our computer systems and Google Workspace administration. Install the latest versions of Windows, Mac, or Linux on laptops donated to us for community use.

  • Help our nonprofit grow by collaborating with us, other volunteers, and the board on grant proposals, applications, and new programs, e.g. to provide free public health care services to vulnerable community members in need.

  • Build your network. Volunteer with us through one of our partnerships with local organizations.

Community Member Volunteers

  • Do you have experience working at or leading nonprofits? Mentor us and help us serve the community better. You could teach us so much.

  • Are you a licensed mental health professional or doctor? Volunteer to help us develop programs that serve vulnerable community members.

  • Get your organization or company involved. We're interested in collaborations with both nonprofits and for-profits as long as we have overlap in our mission and goals, truly and genuinely want to help community members in need, and hold ourselves to strict ethical standards to minimize conflict of interest.

  • Do you have other ideas for how you can help us make an impact on the community? Tell us your ideas for how you can work with us as a volunteer, and your availability.

Volunteers must be 16 years of age and older. Take the first step and click the button below to fill out our Volunteer Form.
